All funds raised (all £10,000) goes to Movember – a Mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer charity striving to help blokes of all ages live happier, healthier, longer livers.

Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.

WHY?

Back in July we supplied two bikes and gear to our good friends Liam Meyer and Justin Breyley – so they could tackle the epic journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats – to raise awareness for mental health after Liam’s dad sadly passed away from Covid.

Tackling all sorts of emotions since losing his Dad in 2020, Liam set up the Covid support group – Alone Together – went on the news and did everything he could to spread the word on Covid and how it affected him and others around him. He recognised the need to talk to people rather than hiding away to deal with his emotions and with the majority of people joining his group being women – he decided to try and reach out to blokes to get them to open up and chat about their troubles, losses and emotions. After all … it’s good to talk.

His Dad loved all things that Rev’d and instilled the love for motors in Liam, who came up with the idea for the United Ride, to raise money for Movember, visit people from his online support network and to get the message out there about being alone is OK when you chat about it and open up to others.

Liam and Justin completed their trip in the summer … riding alone … but together – over the just shy of 2000 mile trip.

With millions of people affected by Covid in different ways – talking about it can help everyone get through the troubled times.

Well done chaps and thank you in advance to all for backing this great cause to help get blokes chatting and keep spirits high
